Senior Lake Cruise

Another beautiful morning for a cruise

Sunny and not too hot. The Webster Lake Association and the Webster Senior Center, organized and sponsored the fourth annual Senior Lake Outing on August 21, 2017 (Eclipse Day) from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

First came the boat rides with over 100 people geting out on the lake on WLA pontoon boats. WLA members volunteered 13 pontoon boats and their time to take participants on a tour of the entire lake. Both the WLA members and the riders enjoyed themselves immensely.

Next came lunch. A.J. Alkire of Point Breeze Restaurant started cooking hamburgers and hot dogs, while other WLA members and Senior Center staff set up for lunch, then helped serve when the riders returned.

Linda Patrick served as Webster Lake Association coordinator. Jean Travis, Director of the Webster Senior Center, and Linda cooperated to organize and put on the event. Special thanks to Judith Keegan, Cathy Pokorny, Robin Jewell and Melanie Washburn for their hours of help. Also, thanks to Deputy Chief Michael Shaw, who was also there lending a hand.
